Licensing and credentialing advisory for the GCC

The credential comes first. Everything else follows.

Before you can work in the Gulf, a regulator must accept your qualifications. We handle that step for healthcare professionals, engineers and certified specialists across all six GCC states: eligibility assessment, primary source verification, examination preparation, application and renewal. We are an advisory firm, not a recruitment agency.

How it works

What does every regulator ask for?

The authority changes. The sequence does not. Knowing it in advance is the difference between a licence in eight weeks and an application returned three times.

  1. Step 01

    Prove the credential is real

Primary source verification. Without a clean report, no GCC authority will process the application at all.

  2. Step 02

    Prove the competence

A Prometric or council examination, set by profession and specialty. Most failures are preparation failures, not knowledge failures.

  3. Step 03

    Register with the authority

Portal application, classification at the correct grade or title, and issue of the licence or registration number.

  4. Step 04

    Keep it live

Renewals, continuing education credits and second-country registration. A lapsed licence stops work as firmly as never having had one.

Primary source verification
Primary Source Verification. DataFlow contacts the institution that issued a document directly to confirm its authenticity, and verifies the institution's own accreditation. Standard verification takes 15-25 working days from the date of payment and submission of a complete set of documents.
Good standing certificate
A letter from your current or most recent regulator confirming that you hold a valid registration and face no disciplinary action. Most GCC authorities will not accept one more than six months old at the date of submission.
Equivalency
A formal ruling that a qualification earned outside the country is comparable to the local award. Engineers whose university does not appear on an approved list usually need one before they become eligible to register.
What it actually costs

How long does licensing take, and what does it cost?

Published regulator and verification fees, before any service charge. We tell you the full number at the start: figures move, so we review them every quarter.

Compliance calendar

Which deadlines are currently running?

Localisation policy is reshaping which roles stay open to expatriates, and creating new hiring and training obligations for employers.

UAE Emiratisation, 10% of skilled roles

Issued by MOHRE

Saudi project management, 70% Saudization

Raised from 50%. Applies to private-sector establishments employing three or more workers in project management director, project management engineer or project management specialist roles, measured at entity level.

Issued by MHRSD with the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing

KHDA Dubai, teacher qualification standards

Existing private-school teachers must meet the new qualification standards, even when remaining at their current school. April-start schools have until 1 April 2029.
